TJC Services was engaged to carry out the internal decommissioning and mechanical demolition of a former manufacturing plant. The works covered a wide range of redundant plant and equipment across multiple buildings, all of which needed to be safely dismantled and removed to allow the site to be redeveloped.

Dismantling heavy industrial equipment of this kind was identified as a high-risk scope, requiring detailed engineering, careful planning and a strong safety focus. TJC Services was selected for our track record in safely executing large-scale, complex demolition projects.

Scope Of Works

Safe mechanical demolition of all redundant plant and equipment
Demolition of 12 hydraulic presses within the press plant
Controlled cutting and lifting of press cushions and support beams across multiple press lines
Internal demolition across multiple production areas
Demolition of redundant outdoor gantry crane and rail system
6,500 tonnes of scrap metal sorted and removed
High-pressure washing of press pits and floors prior to handover
Works completed alongside ongoing operations in adjacent buildings
